About the Marimo Jar:
Marimo, believed to bring good luck in Japanese culture, are living organisms that live in colonies in Lake Akan in Japan and Lake Myvatn in Iceland and grow half a centimeter a year. You can gift your loved ones a decorative and easy-to-care-for plant with the Marimo Jar, designed with a decorative mushroom glass bottle, completely natural branch coral and aquarium stones.
Marimo; Although it is called Japanese lake algae, it is actually a type of algae. Algae are a more primitive and simpler species than other plants with roots and leaves that can produce their own food.
Care Information:
Marimos are very easy to care for. You should change the water of your Marimo once a week with rested tap water (to remove chlorine). If you massage your Marimo with oval movements in your palm during the water change, you will keep its round shape.
Marimos prefer only cold lakes for life and do not like heat and direct sunlight. For this reason, you can place them in the shade as much as possible and put them in the refrigerator during very hot summer months.
Marimo jars are shipped as a kit outside Istanbul and to remote locations within Istanbul (Tuzla, Pendik, Beylikdüzü). When you receive your Marimo kit, it will be enough to fill your jar with rested tap water.
